Spicy, currants with oak hints in the nose. Bright, balanced with a unique acidity and full bodied in the mouth. Pomegranate, currants, and berries provides a rich pure fruit center with notes of pepper framed by the oak. It finishes long, complex and satisfying.
Each lot was punched cap fermented by hand and barrel aged for 40 months in selected French Oak barrels (50% new).
James Suckling in December '16 wrote of the previous vintage: " A very fine wine with pretty berry, currant and chocolate character. . . fine tannins and a polished finish." Rated 93 points.
