Spicy notes with hints of clove and cedar mingle with red fruits form expansive aromatics. Plums, pomegranate and spice fill the mouth. Full bodied and plush, yet bright with big shoulders. It has a long and pleasant finish.
The fruit was punched cap fermented and barrel aged for 32 months in selected French Oak barrels then blended prior to bottling.
This is the first wine I have made in this blend design in my 30+ years of winemaking. For those that have followed my Reserve type Cabernet Francs and Reserve Merlots since the early 80's this will remind many. But in this blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot, we have reached a new pinnacle.
A new favorite for everyone. Only 104 cases were made of this vintage.
